🏝️ Haad Khom Beach: the chill-out paradise
Looking for a quiet hideaway where time slows down? Haad Khom is exactly that. Tucked away in the north of Chaloklum, this beach is a dreamy mix of palm trees, smooth rocks, and crystal-clear water. Getting there feels like an adventure itself: you’ll descend a staircase through the jungle — and if you’re lucky, you’ll spot a few cheeky monkeys on the way.
There are a handful of cozy restaurants and bars, but the highlight is Coral Bar. Think hammocks, puffs under the shade, chilled drinks, and a giant friendly dog that everyone remembers. This is the kind of beach day you’ll want to repeat.
🚤 Bottle Beach: adventure meets paradise
If you’re chasing a bit of adventure, Bottle Beach should be at the top of your list. The catch? You can’t reach it by scooter. Your only options are trekking through lush jungle trails or hopping on a taxi boat.
The hike (around 1–1.5 hours from Haad Khom) is stunning — but pack water, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent! Prefer the easy route? Boats from Chaloklum or Haad Khom will get you there.
Once you arrive, you’ll be greeted by wide stretches of soft sand, calm vibes, and barely any crowds. A couple of small local restaurants are perfect for refueling. And for an extra reward, hike 15 minutes up to Phasawan Viewpoint — the panorama is unforgettable.
🌊 Haad Sadet Beach (Namtok Than Sadet National Park)
Haad Sadet is one of those places that feels like a secret treasure. With just a 100 baht entrance fee, you get access to calm turquoise waters, a peaceful beach, and a few local restaurants where you can eat with your toes in the sand.
The journey there is half the fun: the road is one of the most scenic on the island. If you’re confident on a scooter, definitely take it — expect some steep climbs, but also breathtaking views along the way.
Inside the National Park you’ll find waterfalls, jungle paths, and natural pools with climbable rocks. Tip: head there early in the morning to enjoy the park in the best way.
🌕 Haad Rin Beach: beyond the Full Moon Party
Yes, Haad Rin is world-famous for the Full Moon Party — but that’s not the whole story. Outside of those wild nights, this southeastern beach shows a completely different face: relaxed, beautiful, and full of charm.
During the day, the turquoise water and soft sand are perfect for a chilled beach escape. At night, the bars set up cushions and seats right on the sand, with fire shows lighting up the sky. Party or not, Haad Rin is always worth a visit.
